The 90th Minute

ABOUT the film

The 90th Minute takes you inside the lives of three ambitious players with an unpredictable future in the world of women’s professional soccer.

In this documentary film, Ali Riley, Kim Yokers and Rosie Tantillo share some of the highest and lowest points of their careers as professional soccer players.

Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) was the top female soccer league in the world between 2009 and 2012. But it struggled to sustain itself and ultimately folded in May of 2012.

This film sheds light on what it’s like to be a female professional soccer player today – a decade after the 1999 Women’s World Cup when players like Mia Hamm and Brandi Chastain inspired girls across the country to play the sport. The 90th Minute won Best Documentary Short in the Asians on Film Festival and Second Best Documentary Short in the All Sports LA Film Festival.
